The new racing season has started with a bang at Harnesslink with Brad Reid joining the stable of journalists and media professionals dedicated to passionately covering harness racing.
The 34 year old has spent the past seven years working heavily in the breeding sector with six years as the Executive Manager of the New Zealand Standardbred Breeders Association, and more recently as the Breeding Manager at Harness Racing New Zealand.
āIām really excited to be joining the team at Harnesslink,ā said Reid.
ā20 years ago when I first became interested in the sport, Harnesslink was where I would spend many hours getting my fix of news and views from around the globe.
āItās always been a great resource to the industry and there are some fantastic journalists and media professionals associated with the website who Iām looking forward to working with,ā he said.
One of the primary roles for Reid over the last seven years in the sport has been the production of print and digital publications such as Breeding Matters, Breeders Update and the New Zealand Register of Standardbred Stallions.
His passion for the sport has been well detailed with his ability to cover engaging breeding articles and human interest stories well known.
āIāve been incredibly lucky over the last seven years in the sport to get to meet and talk to so many of the incredible participants in Harness Racing.ā
āSharing their stories and bringing them to life through words is something I am incredibly passionate about. To get to broaden that and cover all aspects of the sport is incredibly exciting and I am looking to starting in my new role.ā
Reidās employment is the beginning of many new developments for the Harnesslink platform and its readers with a number of new and exciting initiatives ready to be unveiled.
