Cream Ridge, NJ – August 24, 2021 – Down to the last few hours, the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, (SRF) pleads for the remaining horses scheduled to ship for slaughter tonight at 10pm est.
More homes and funds are desperately needed. Nearly 82% of the help required has come from very caring people. As of 4pm today, $27,465 is still needed to save the remaining horses.
The support for these animals has been overwhelming and so kind. People feel for these trotters and pacers that have given their all to racing, and breeding, and for some then working so hard in the rural areas for many years; SRF hopes none will need to be left behind.
The last few are begging for homes and donations.
