HARRINGTON, DE – The first leg of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 3-year-old harness racing trotters closed out the week of racing at Harrington Raceway Wednesday with five $20,000 divisions.

The fastest winner was Bobby Myers’ Big Al M ($2.80, Eddie Davis Jr.), who continued his dominance of DSBF rivals with a front stepping 1:58.4 triumph over Bluestone Jackson and Vlahos.

The Eric Davis-trainee never had an anxious moment in his wire-to-wire win, the 7th in 9 career starts for the son of Anders Bluestone who has banked $150,892 lifetime.

BIG AL M REPLAY

The first filly division saw KJ Diamond (Victor Kirby) overtake pacesetter Blue Green Machine at the top of the stretch and draw clear for a one-length win in 2:03.4. She’s So Striking finished third. A daughter of Keystone Activator for owners Pam Wagner and Scott Woogen, it was the 2nd lifetime win for K J Diamond, who is trained by Kirby.

K J DIAMOND REPLAY

Gary White’s Whitesville Beulah ($6.40, David Hill III) won the second division in 2:00.3 with a front end win over Kim’s Command and Designer’s Edge. The Anders Bluestone filly notched her 3rd career win for owner/trainer White.

WHITESVILLE BEULAH REPLAY

In the final colt and gelding division, Someofmygoodtime ($44.20, Bill Long) sprung an upset in 2:02.2 over Fox Briar Spooky and Command The Market.

The Harry Marsh Jr.-trainee sired by Keystone Activator, took advantage of an early miscue by 1-to-5 favorite Altar Call, who broke behind the starting gate, and led all the way for his first lifetime win for owners Janet Rae, Joseph Kansak and trainer Marsh.

SOMEOFMYGOODTIME REPLAY

The final filly division on the card went to 1-to-9 favorite Jazzy Judy ($2.10, Anthony Macdonald) who was an open length winner in 2:01 over Azurine and Annalee. Owned by Thestable Jazzy Judy Group for trainer Jim King Jr., the Political Briefing filly assumed command near the top of the stretch from Annalee and drew away effortlessly for her 4th lifetime win.

JAZZY JUDY REPLAY

In the $17,000 overnight feature, Nick Callahan-trained Ginger Tree Skyr ($3.20, Corey Callahan) recorded his 2nd straight win in 1:55.3 for owners Callahan, Yonwollan Racing Team, Stuart Chambers and Gregory Godbout. It was one of 4 wins on the card for driver Callahan, and second for horses trained by his father.

Jason Johnson had a training triple.

The second leg of DSBF action will be contested June 21-23. Post time is 4:30 p.m. nightly.
