Hightstown, NJ — Twin B Joe Fresh (Roll With Joe), who captured the Dayton Distaff Derby last week to extend her harness racing win streak to nine, pushed her consecutive weeks in the No. 1 spot in the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll to 12 when the Week 16 rankings were released Tuesday.
The 4-year-old pacing mare received 27 of 35 first-place votes. Jiggy Jog S (Walner), who won the Dayton Oaks last week, remained No. 2 in the poll and garnered seven first-place votes.
The remainder of the rankings in the Top 10 were unchanged with the exception of Highland Kismet (Father Patrick) and Its A Love Thing swapping positions in the nine and 10 slots. Highland Kismet won a Bluegrass Stakes division last week while Its A Love Thing (Bettor’s Delight) finished second in a leg of the Ontario Sire Stakes Gold.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will be released every Tuesday through the remainder of the Grand Circuit season, does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
