16 enter Hambletonian Trot

When the entry boxed closed for this Saturday’s harness racing eliminations for the 96th edition of the Hambletonian Trot on Monday, there were 16 colts entered for the prestigious race at The Meadowlands. They will compete in two 8-horse fields with the top five official finishers from each division returning for the Hambletonian Final on Saturday, August 7.

There were 20 fillies entered too for the Hambletonian Oaks and they will also compete this Saturday in two ten-horse elimination divisions.

Tuesday afternoon will be the draw for post positions for each of the classic races.
