HARRINGTON, DE – Chris Scicluna’s Hatikvah (Chapter Seven) and driver Ross Wolfenden) were able to score an upset harness racing victory in the $20,000 Open Trot Wednesday (June 8) at Harrington Raceway. He paid $47.40 to win.
The 6-year-old gelding challenged pacesetter Monarch first-over and began to clear near the three-quarters.
Monarch retreated as Hatikvah gained the lead near the top of the stretch and held off a strong bid from Quiksilver Bluechip and Lizzy Lauxmont, who rounded out the trifecta, for his 4th win of the season.
Trained by his owner, Hatikvah has banked $44,910 this season.
