Monday action at Dover Downs

DOVER, Del. —- Atta Boy Dan, Freespin N join this week's $30,000 Preferred Handicap while Don't Ya Know and Little Ben are newcomers in the $27,500 Delaware Special on a powerpacked Monday, Dec.7 harness racing program at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Six start in the top purse event of the day led by two fast winners last time out, Henderson Farm's Bushwacker, a 1:50 win last week with David Miller, and Atta Boy Dan, with Brett Miller driving for Weaver Bruscemi and Burke Racing, a 1:50.2 score at the Meadows. Rich Pollucci's Daper Dude missed by three-quarters last Monday with Vic Kirby driving.

Drawing the inside posts are John Cancelliere's Special T Rocks, with George Dennis and Howard Taylor and Tom Lazzaro's Secretsoftheknight with Corey Callahan.

Janel Hudson and JoAnn King's Little Benn (Kirby) has been on a winning tear of late with two consecutive wins and four in his last five starts. He starts from the outside in the $27,500 Delaware Special. Four other return from last week, Max Walton and Greg Papaleo's Mustang Art (Marcus Miller) leaves from the rail, Doug Lewis and Rusty Carter's Captive Audience (Callahan), Sweet Rock (Allan Davis) racing for R.A.Hazzard, G.P.Callahan and Legacy Racing and Kovach Stable's Feel Like A Fool (D.Miller).

The other competitors are Don't Ya Know (Dennis), owned by Joan Dalphon and Elanor Laws, Bobby Glassmeyer's Fancyfreeshark (Jonathan Roberts) and Mary Larrimre's Believe This Bob (Ross Wolfenden).

Sweet Talkin Satin (Brett Miller) owned by Rich Lombardo, Dave Kryway and trainer Josh Green and Givenupdreaming (Callahan) racing for Weaver Bruscemi and Burke Racing, lead the $18,000 Open.

On the strong undercard are two $15,000. a $ 13,500, two $12,000 paces, all for younger male horses, and a $25,000 Claimer.

Monday through Thursday racing begins at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are dark days.

A $5,000 Guaranteed Pick-4 Pool Is a daily feature.
