Harrisburg, PA — Three-year-old female harness racing trotter Another Like Me (Muscle Hill-Stubborn Belle), one of a group of horses sold as part of the Libfeld/Katz dispersal, was the top seller at Thursday’s opening session of the Standardbred Horse Sale’s mixed sale, purchased for $400,000 by Al Libfeld.
Another Like Me has won four of six lifetime starts. She is a full sister to stakes-winners Ms Savannah Belle, Really Fast, and Stubborn Chee, and her dam was an O’Brien Award winner in 2014. Another Like Me was consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing.
Among Libfeld’s other purchases Thursday was trotting broodmare Cantab It All (Cantab Hall-Better Odds) for $350,000. Cantab It All, a 16-year-old mare, is the dam of multiple Dan Patch Award-winner Ariana G and All The Time. Both fillies were Hambletonian Oaks and Breeders Crown champions. Cantab It All, sold in foal to Walner, also was consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing.
Also selling for $350,000 was trotting broodmare Insta Glam (Father Patrick-Hollywood Hill), who was purchased by Armitage Farm. Insta Glam, a 5-year-old, was a stakes-winning filly during her racing career. Her second dam, Lantern Kronos, was a Dan Patch/O’Brien awards winner in 2008 and is the mother of millionaire The Bank. Insta Glam, consigned by Concord Stud Farm, sold in foal to Gimpanzee.
Trotting broodmares Exile (Walner-Swan Hot Mama), Brunella (Father Patrick-Hollywood Hill), and Grand Fashion (Walner-Broadway Schooner) were the remaining horses to sell for at least $300,000 on Thursday.
Exile was purchased by Paul Spears, Windsong Stable, for $310,000. A 3-year-old, Exile was an $800,000 yearling buy at the 2021 Lexington Selected Sale and is a half-sister to stakes-winners Repentance and Altar. Her family also includes stallions Swan In A Million and Swan For All. Exile, consigned by Diamond Creek, was sold in foal to Muscle Hill.
Three-year-old Brunella, a full sister to the aforementioned Insta Glam, was purchased by Diamond Creek Farm for $300,000. The stakes-winning filly sold in foal to Gimpanzee and was consigned by Concord Stud Farm.
Armitage Farm bought Grand Fashion, a 3-year-old, for $300,000. She is a full sister to 2022 Hambletonian Oaks winner Fashion Schooner and half-sister to multiple Dan Patch Award-winner Broadway Donna. Grand Fashion, consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing, sold in foal to Tactical Landing.
Overall Thursday, a total of 388 horses and stallion shares sold for $15.05 million, an average of $38,812.
The second-and-final day of the mixed sale begins at 11 a.m. (EST) Friday at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex.
