Cream Ridge, NJ -9/23/2023–The very kind and generous supporters of this group of trotters and pacers the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, (SRF) is trying to help have made it possible to meet every deadline so far. This support is so very much appreciated. A few horses still linger andĀ need help by tomorrow.Ā A generous offer of aĀ match gift dollar for dollar of $5,200Ā has been offered by a wonderful friend of these horses. Today and tomorrow, SRF will be picking up the safe ones and is hoping not to leave any behind. It is asking for a little more help to get them all from the horrors of slaughter.
Losing the ability to utilize social media to carry out its mission of 33 years, particularly on Facebook and Instagram to raise funds, is catastrophic. More than once daily, the SRF Facebook pages become unpublished and are reinstated. One page has not been republished at all, two have no followers as they were opened to apply for a new DONATE button. Two pages now show that as of October 30th, 2023, they will not have the ability to use the DONATE button. None of this is explained, and reaching help at Facebook has been unsuccessful since issues began nearly two years ago. It’s a constant back-and-forth of emails with no results.
We are asking ourĀ supporters to please donate to save the remaining ones and to offer a home or foster home. They are in North Carolina, Pennsylvania., Oklahoma, and Kansas. Donations are tax-deductible. Safe photos will be happily shared when received.
