Allywag Hanover (Captaintreacherous) dominated top older harness racing pacers to win the $100,000 Always B Miki Invitational for the third straight year on Saturday (Aug. 19) at Pocono Downs.
He left eagerly from post six and seized command just after completing the quarter in :26.3. Todd McCarthy rated him to a :54 half but hit the gas in the third panel to reach three-quarters in 1:20.4.
Allywag Hanover bolted two lengths clear of pocket-sitter Tattoo Artist (Tim Tetrick) as they entered the lane, and the leader finished strongly to take the contest in 1:48.4.
South Beach Star (Brian Sears) snatched the place spot late from Stonebridge Helios (Dexter Dunn).

Allywag Hanoverās win was his 26th in 61 career starts. The gelding has earned $1,936,650 lifetime. He also won the 2021 and 2022 editions of the Always B Miki Invitational. Brett Pelling trains the six-year-old for Allywag Stable of Wellsville.
