Dover, DE – Fall winds and temperatures ushered in the $20,000 second leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund elims for the 2-year old harness racing trotters at Dover Downs on Tuesday.
Two early non-wagering events for fillies and three races of colts and geldings on the overnight card produced the final qualifiers for the $100,000 finals which will be contested next Tuesday, November 23rd.
In the 4:00 non-wagering event it was repeat winner from last week, Our Last Penny (CR Commando-CR Penny Lane) with breeder, owner, trainer, Rod Allen in the bike in 2:02.3. Just Pump It (Art Stafford, Jr.) was second followed by Giant Arbitration (Tony Morgan) in third.
The 4:10 race was Shes All Woman (Anders Bluestone-Wark Woman) for driver, Jared Moyer in a new lifetime record of 2:00. Bred and owned by Pam Wagner and trained by her husband, John. Miss Timber Wolf (Kim Vincent) followed in second with Xactly What I Want placed 3rd due to interference.
In the first half of the Daily Double it was all Rivers (Anders Bluestone-Stargazer Lily) in 1:57.4 for the āCaptainā Corey Callahan and trainer, Nick Callahan.
Owned by Stuart Chambers Racing,Divine Horse Racing, Cinbrew Enterprises, and BCJM, Inc. Bred by Nancy Miller. LGās Reed O Wen (Jim Morand) and Tua (Montrell Teague) followed in order.
RIVERS REPLAY
The second half of the double was Navy Blue (Anders Bluestone-Overnight Hit) in a new lifetime record of 1:58.4 for breeder, trainer, driver, Art Stafford, Jr. and co-owner with Wyatt Starkey.
Big Daddy D (Carlo Poliseno) got up for second with Brief Legacy (Russell Foster) earning the show spot.
NAVY BLUE REPLAY
The final colt division went to Wolfpack Russ (Glidemaster-Emilyās Ego) in a new lifetime record of 2:00.1 makingĀ it a driver, trainer, owner double for Corey and Nick Callahan and the group of Stuart Chambers Racing, Divine Horse Racing, Cinbrew Enterprises, and BCJM, Inc. He was bred by Winbak Farm.
JAS Bluestone (Jared Moyer) was second and Canoe Trip (Allan Davis) was third.
WOLFPACK RUSS REPLAY
Tomorrow night will be the second leg for the 2-year old pacing fillies. Post Time 4:30 PM.
