HARRINGTON, DE – Four $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) divisions for 3-year-old trotters headlined the Wednesday harness racing program at Harrington Raceway with Anders Bluestone-sired horses winning all but one split.
In the first DSBF event on the card, six fillies lined up behind the gate with heavily favored Pam Wagner’s She’s All Woman (Anders Bluestone) ($2.10, Victor Kirby) triumphing in wire-to-wire fashion in 2:02.2 over True Blue Mist and Antares Star. The filly picked up her 7th career win for trainer John Wagner.
SHE’S ALL WOMEN REPLAY
Andrew Glassmeyer’s Franky Doyle (Glidemaster) ($5.40, Pat Berry) won the second split for fillies in 2:02.1 over Just Pump It and Miss Timber Wolf. The filly earned her 3rd career win for owner/trainer Glassmeyer via a front end effort where she held off Just Pump It By a neck.
FRANKY DOYLE REPLAY
Art Stafford Jr. and Wyatt Starkey’s Navy Blue (Anders Bluestone) ($2.80) won the first colt and gelding division in 1:59.4 over Jas Bluestone and Snow Burst. The gelding made the front early from post 5 and never relented in his 4th career win for co-owner/trainer/driver Stafford Jr.
NAVY BLUE REPLAY
The only non-favorite to prevail in DSBF action came in the final division as Nanticoke Racing’s LG’s Reed O Wen (Anders Bluestone) ($7.60, Jim Morand) emerged a winner in 1:58 as three horses charged to the finish in a pack with Big Daddy D getting second and Canoe Trip third. Trained by Les Givens, “LG” picked up his 7th lifetime win. The gelding set a track record as a freshman at Harrington (1:59.4).
LG’S REED O WEN REPLAY
In the overnight feature, Tyler Davis’ Secret Jet ($8, Allan Davis) was a 1:54.3 winner in the $20,000 Open Trot over Ginger Tree Skyr and Spee Club.Ā It was one of 4 driving wins on the card for Davis.
