Harness racing driver Leon Bailey has had a monster three weekends at Vernon Downs, winning 25 races in that stretch. He capped it off today (June 16) with six wins, including a win with Primo Uomo (Heston Blue Chip) in $8,500 Open Pace.
Primo Uomo ($2.10) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :26.3. He used a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :55.4. He cruised to three-quarters in 1:23.4
As they reached the stretch second place finisher Syracuse Express (Adam Capizzano) came all out after Primo Uomo. Primo Uomo had plenty in the tank and won easily in a new lifetime mark of 1:51.0. Snap Call (John MacDonald) finished third.

Primo Uomo is a 4-year-old gelding trained by David Dewhurst for owners Chris and Dale Lawton. It was his fourth win this season. He now has 21 career victories.
Baileyās other wins came with Lady Eight, Haveurcakeneatittoo, Go With The Flow, Mittnage A Trois, and Valor. Dan Daley had a driver-trainer double. Steeven Genois had a driving double. Michelle Warner had a training triple.
