Chris Beaver made child’s play of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 3-year-old filly harness racing trotters Thursday (July 22) at Eldorado Scioto Downs, with his trainees winning all three divisions and setting new lifetime marks.
In the first division Chip It In (Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.) got the pocket trip behind I Am Winning (Chris Page) and came up the passing lane to win in 1:55.1. Page took I Am Winning straight to the top from post five and led through quarters of :28.1 and :56.3 with Imalovelylady (Anthony MacDonald) parked and pressing. By the time the field hit the three-quarters in 1:25.2, Imalovelylady had retreated and race favorite Cash N Chips (Hunter Myers) came up to challenge. Neither horse could fend off Chip In In who powered up the inside to win handily by two and a half lengths.

Chip It In is by Break The Bank K out of the Malabar Man mare ChippiesbrownsugarĀ and was bred by Micah Burkholder. Owned by Chris Beaver, David Meola, Donald Robinson and RBH Ventures, Chip It In put her career earnings to just under $60,000.
Fiesty Pistol gave winning owners Beaver, Meola, Robninson and RBH Ventures their second BSS win of the night when Aaron Merriman piloted her to a 1:56.2 victory. The Triumphant Caviar filly also got the pocket trip through a :28.1 opening quarter and :58.1 half behind Broknheartsville (Ronnie Gillespie). She was shuffled to fourth by the 1:26.4 three-quarters, and after going around the fading leader, ducked to the inside to win by a length. Going off as the even money favorite, the Marion Beachy bred filly paid $4.20 to win.

Also sent off as the even money favorite, Magic Credit Card sat third to the :28 opening quarter from the rail but pulled and made it to the top by the :58 half.
