Beer Fest Saturday at the Big M

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – On Saturday, May 4 Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment hosts its annual Racetrack Beer Fest.  Doors open for VIP at 4:00 pm with General Admission at 5:00 pm and beer is poured until 9:00 pm. It is an evening of great craft beer, music by DJ Alx and live harness racing.

The Beer Fest will be held in the Backyard. The VIP ticket is $65 and includes an additional 1 hour of sampling, exclusive VIP beer samplings, and BBQ favorites.  General Admission begins at 5:00 pm and is available in advance for $45 or at the door for $50.  Live harness racing will commence at 6:20pm and the Kentucky Derby’s post time is 6:57 pm.

Sixty breweries, hard seltzer producers and cideries will be highlighted including a number of local New Jersey brewers.   NJ favorites Bolero Snort, Ghost Hawk, Ashton, Bradley Brew Project, Bonesaw Brewing, 902 Brewing Company, About The Hops, Ludlum, Ross Brewing, Montclair Brewery, Autodidact, United Brewing, Seven Tribesmen, will all be poured at the festival.

A variety of hard seltzers from Untied Brewing, Bout The Hops, Smirnoff Seltzer, Lone River Ranch Water and new to the market Allegro Aqua Frescas will also have a variety of samplings.

Ciders from Feels Like Home – Artifact Craft Cider, Stowe Cider, Downeast Cider and Brooklyn Cider House plus Jiant Hard Kombucha for a little change of pace will be poured.

Other featured breweries include: Singlecut Beersmiths, Peak Organic, Toppling Goliath, Industrial Arts, Urban Artifact, Aslin Beer Co, Ghostfish Brewing Company, Port City, Mast Landing,  UFO, Harpoon, Boulevard, Brooklyn, Captain Lawrence, Clown Shoes, Deschutes, Firestone Walker, Ommegang, Revolution, Sweetwater,  New Trail, Bronx, Kona, Goose Island, Blue Point, Elysian, Founders, Yards, Neshaminy Creek, Sloop, Troegs, Cigar City, Equilibrium, Three Floyd’s, Von Trapp, Golden Road and Burlington.

There is also a selection of brews only available to VIP ticket holders.  Some standouts include Ommegang Three Philosophers on Nitro, Clown Shoers Galactica & Rainbows Are Real, Peak Organic Super Fresh DIPA, Sloop Green Islands, Ashton Brewing Fraxinus Barley Wine: Mezcal Maple and Beer Tree Any Day’s Haze IPA.
