With a blaze of speed from the three-quarter mile pole, Lyons Sentinel (Captaintreacherous) was able gun down No Win No Feed A in the stretch in winning the $31,500 Mares Open-Handicap Pace Saturday (June 4) at the Meadowlands.
The 6th race co-feature saw driver Joe Bongiorno send Chase Lounge right to the lead off the starting gate with Keep Rockin A (David Miller) in second and No Win No Feed A (Scott Zeron) on the move.
Right after a :26.3 first quarter, No Win No Feed A took command of the field and led past the half mile in :54.3. Meanwhile Lyons Sentinel and driver Tim Tetrick were sitting in sixth place and could see them all.
Tetrick then moved Lyons Sentinel to the outside, flushed a little late cover from Keep Rockin A as No Win No Feed A past the three-quarters in 1:22.
Down the stretch it looked like No Win No Feed A had a winning lead, but no one told that to Lyons Sentinel as she flew down the stretch to mow No Win No Feed A and win by a half-length in 1:49. No Win No Feed A was second with Keep Rockin A third.
LYONS SENTINEL REPLAY

The 10th race $31,500 Open-Handicap Trot also saw the horse in last place at the top of the stretch, Bella Bellini (Bar Hopping), outkick Atlanta to the wire in a photo finish victory.
It was Kenziesky Hanover (Scott Zeron) first on the lead and then a determined Lindy The Great and driver Andy Miller took over command by the first quarter in :27.3. They raced single file past the half mile marker in :56.1 before the action really began.
In the backstretch driver Brian Sears came first-over with Eurobond and that drew Atlanta (Yannick Gingras) second-over and in last, Bella Bellini and driver David Miller taking up the chase third-over to the three-quarters in 1:24.3.
As they all started down the stretch it became a two-mare drive to the finish wire as Atlanta and Gingras took over the lead from Eurobond, but then Bella Bellini and Miller were in high gear and caught them at the finish to win by a head in 1:51.2. Eurobond was third.
