HARRINGTON, DE – George and Tina Dennis’ Mack ($101.20, Jim Morand) sprung a 50-to-1 upset in the $17,000 featured Delaware Special Monday on opening night of Harrington Raceway’s 79th season of live harness racing in 1:52.2.

The 8-year-old Mach Three gelding took advantage of a drifting favorite, Downers Delight, in the stretch and surged down the inside to win by a neck and foil the latter’s bid for a sixth straight win. Mack, notched his 26th career win for trainer Joe Columbo and boosted his lifetime earnings to more than $621,000. Downers Delight set the pace before bearing out on the final turn and losing ground. Hundred Dollar Man finished third.
