Bluesville too strong in feature

Bluesville (Ron Harp) captures the featured $7,500 harness racing pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday (August 2).

Bluesville led to the quarter in :28.1.  He used a :30.0 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.1.  War Of Will (Josh Kinney) was first to make a move but couldn’t get near the leader. Bluesville led to three-quarters in 1:26.1.

As they reached the stretch, second place finisher Prospectors Gold (Chris Long) went all out after the leader, but Bluesville was too strong and won in 1:54.1.  Galactic Storm (Jimmy Whittemore) finished third.

Bluesville is a 6-year-old horse by Huntsville.  He is owned by the Big Sky Ranch and trained by Harp.  It was his fourth win this season.  He now has 23 career victories.
