DOVER, Del.— Bossa Nova Baby picked right off where he left off last week scoring a 1:52.2 victory in the $15,000-$20,000 Claiming Handicap, the Sunday, Feb. 8 feature race on a Spring-like day at Dover Downs.
With Hall of Famer Ron Pierce holding the reins, Bossa Nova Baby held off KR's Power Surge (Jim Morand) and Drunk On You (Eddie Davis Jr.) to win for the second-straight start for trainer Dylan Davis and owner Howard Taylor. An altered son of Panspacificflight – By Faith Valaree, Bossa Nova Baby danced his way to his 15 lifetime win.
In the fastest race on the card, Jerry Clark's Workandplayhard stopped the timer at 1;50.4, a career record, to win an $8,000 Male pace with Eddie Davis Jr. chalking up his second win on the day. The win was the first of 2015 for the Western Terror – Slice Of Life gelding trained by Doug Lewis. Toms Titan (Jonathan Roberts) was runner-up. Stagecoach Holdup (Roger Plante) stormed down the lane for third.
Ron Pierce drove four winners, Eddie Davis Jr. had a triple, Tony Morgan and trainer Dylan Davis posted doubles.

Monday through Thursday racing starts at 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday are "dark" days. Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m.
