ANDERSON, Ind.—July 29, 2021— Indiana-sired three-year-old trotting colts were the featured attraction at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Thursday, July 29 as the evening’s 14-race harness racing card was highlighted by two $48,000 Indiana Sires Stakes divisions for the freshmen trotters.

Brookview Bolt returned to his home state and rebounded gamely with a 1:53.3 score in the opening division of the stakes action. After making a break racing against open company in his last out, Brookview Bolt, a son of Swan For All—Witty’s Winner, was all business as he made his game winning move down the backside en route to his near two length victory. With driver Sam Widger in the sulky, Brookview Bolt scored his fourth win from seven seasonal starts for trainer Ron Burke. Sent off as the heavy 4-5 favorite, Brookview Bolt returned $3.60 to his backers at the betting windows.

BROOKVIEW BOLT REPLAY

Owned by Burke Racing Stable, Knox Services, J&T Silva, Purnel&Libby, and Weaver Bruscemi, he recorded his eighth lifetime win from 19 outings. Monarch and James Yoder finished second while Illini Earl and Brandon Bates also rallied well late to round out the trifecta.

The second division was captured by Predator and Prey for driver Jared Finn and trainer J D Finn. Overcoming a first-over grind, Predator and Prey tracked down the pace-setting and heavily favored Breckenridge and Dan Shetler to get up in the final strides of the mile. Predator and Prey stopped the timer 1:55.1. Breckenridge and Bluebird Maverick dead heated for second. Predator and Prey pulled the slight upset and paid $8.80 to win.

PREDATOR AND PREY REPLAY

Owned by Finn Racing LLC, the son of Guccio—Shaken Not Stirred scored his third win of the season from 10 starts. Predator and Prey has now won five of 20 lifetime outs.

Indiana Sires Stakes action will continue at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Friday, July 30 with two $66,500 divisions for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings. For more information on the upcoming entertainment and live racing schedule, please visit www.hoosierpark.com.
