Dayton, Ohio – Living up to his harness racing name, Brookview Bullet (Always A Virgin) shot down the stretch to capture the $25,200 Horse and Gelding Open Handicap Pace on Saturday (Dec. 10) at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway.
Driven by Chris Page, Brookview Bullet wasted no time gunning down the front. As soon as the dust settled, the 4-year-old gelding shifted into gear. Unchallenged, 8-5 favorite Brookview Bullet posted fractions in :27, :55.1, and 1:22.3 before stopping the clock in 1:50.3.
Fellow Hoosier Park invader Mac’s Big Boy (Josh Sutton) was second with Robert Again (Kayne Kauffman) finishing third.
The victory pushed Brookview Bullet over $100,000 in seasonal earnings. In 23 starts, the gelding has now scored six wins, four seconds, and three third place finishes. Brookview Bullet is conditioned by Henry Graber Jr for owner Eleven Star Stables.
