Tioga Downs played host to two harness racing divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for freshmen filly trotters on Sunday (July 14). Driver Tyler Buter swept both divisions.

My Debt Collector (Chapter Seven-Magic Presto, Buter) takes the $54,500 first division.

My Debt Collector

Caviart Adele (James MacDonald) went to the front and led to the quarter in :28.1. She used a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.2. My Debt Collector ($7.80) made her move first-up heading to the final turn. Caviart Adele led to three-quarters in 1:28.3.

My Debt Collector and second place finisher Caviart Adele battled all the way down the stretch. My Debt Collector surged by late to get her first career win in 1:57.4. Royal Mission (Matt Kakaley) finished third.
My Debt Collector is a filly trained by R. Nifty Norman for owners David McDuffee, Melvin Hartman, and Little E LLC.

MY DEBT COLLECTOR REPLAY

Beautiful Sight (Chapter Seven-Beautiful Sin, Buter) is upset winner in the $54,500 second division.

Beautiful Sight

Pink Chou Chou (James MacDonald) was first to the quarter in :28.3. Chapvious (Jason Bartlett) took over control with a lap to go and led to the half in :58.2. Beautiful Site ($50,000) made her move first-up down the backstretch. Chapvious led to three-quarters in 1:28.2.

As they reached the stretch Beautiful Sight came after Chapvious. Chapvious dug in and looked like she was going to pull off a win when Pink Chou Chou (who was behind her) made a quick move to come outside which seemed to spook the Chapvious. Chapvious seemed to move sideways. Beautiful Sight then went on by and won her racing debut in 1:56.2. Pink Chou Chou was second best. Chapvious had to settle for third.

Beautiful Sight is a filly owned by the S R F Stable and trained by Ake Svanstedt.
