Cal Expo qualifiers Saturday livestreamed

A total of 88 horses have been entered for Saturday’s qualifiers as the December 13 opening night approaches for the winter/spring Cal Expo harness racing meet.

The qualifiers will begin at 11:30 a.m. pacific and will be broadcast live on RTN and streamed at calxharness.com.

There will be 39 nights of racing under the Watch and Wager LLC banner.

The first two weeks will see Friday racing only with a 6:45 p.m. first post, with Saturday’s being added on December 28 with a 6:30 p.m. starting time.

A total of $420,000 in California Sire Stakes purses and $230,000 in late-closing events highlight the schedule that runs through May 2.
