HARRINGTON, DE – Melissa Rucci’s Gidget Lauxmont (Art’s Card Trick) and driver Ceba Horsey pulled off a titanic upset at odds of 102 to 1 in the last race pace on the harness racing card Tuesday (Aug. 13) at Harrington Raceway.
Trained by Salvatore Sciarrino, the four-year-old mare Gidget Lauxmont won by a head in earning her first lifetime win in 48 career starts in 1:59.3. She paid $207.40 to win.
GIDGET LAUXMONT REPLAY
Clark Stables’ and Tina Clark’s That Ole Bar Stool (Bar Hopping) and driver Corey Callahan were a 1:56.4 winner in the $22,500 Free-For-All Trot.
The 5-year-old gelding notched his 16th career win over Gotta Habit and Remarkable De Vie. Trained by Bobby Clark, it was his 3rd win of the season. That Ole Bar Stool emerged from the pocket and took the lead from front stepping Coventry Hall near the three-quarters and never looked back.
It was one of five winners on the card for Callahan, who won two for his father, trainer Nick Callahan. The winner paid $10.80.

There will be a superfecta carryover of $4,354 for the August 19 program.
Live racing will continue next week on a Monday/Tuesday schedule before a Monday through Wednesday schedule resumes the week of August 26.
