Grand Circuit filly wins first start as a mare

HARRINGTON, DE – Enterprise Holdings’ Captain Cowgirl (Captaintreacherous) $3.80 and driver Ross Wolfenden) scored a 1:53.3 harness racing win in the $20,000 Mares Open Pace Tuesday (May 23) at Harrington Raceway.

The 4-year-old mare recorded her first win of the season in just her 3^rd start with a pocket trip behind pacesetter Shecandance N, before emerging down the passing lane for a narrow win. Feeling Sweet closed ground late to finish second while Shecandance N was third. A top sophomore last year, Captain Cowgirl was a grand circuit filly who earned $324,916 last season for trainer Jim King Jr.
