Track record falls at Dayton Raceway

Dayton, OH – The Thursday night (Nov. 16) card of harness racing at Hollywood Dayton Raceway saw a new track record for three-year-old pacing geldings set by Ants Marching (Downbytheseaside) in 1:49.

Cody Hanover put forth hot early fractions of :27, :55.2, 1:22.1 while Ants Marching enjoyed a pocket ride to pounce late to stop the clock in track record fashion. Ants Marching was driven by Jeremy Smith for trainer Todd Luther and is owned by Greg Luther Racing LLC. The record of 1:50.1 was previously held by Snowmoon and Vel Mr Nice Guy.

ANTS MARCHING REPLAY

Taking the $20,000 Thursday night feature, a Horses and Geldings N/W of $12,500 last four starts conditioned event was heavy race favorite Carbine. Leaving from Post 6, driver Dan Noble missionized Carbine from the word go to control his own destiny through fractions of 26.2, 54.3, 1:22.1 to win by a neck over Walknafter Midnite and Rockin Speed in 1:50.2.

The five-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere, Carbine is trained by Tony Alagna for owner Odds On Racing, notching his eighth win of the season and 20th career lifetime. Carbine paid $2.70 to win.

CARBINE REPLAY

The dynamite duo of Dan and Christi Noble enjoyed a tremendous night of racing having won a training hat trick comprised of Stonerleigh, Natives Filou and Artatac A. Noble also enjoyed wins with Carbine and to make for a driving grand slam.

Driver Jeremy Smith enjoyed a successful night at the office celebrating a driving hat trick winning with Caviart Cooper for trainer Pete Redder, Ants Marching for trainer Todd Luther and Beyond Delight for trainer Tessa Perrin.

Driver Sam Widger celebrated a driving double.
