Bangor, Maine …. A trio of teamsters all claimed triples at Bangor Raceway on Saturday (October 19) when harness racing drivers Walter Case, Jr, Drew Campbell, and Aaron Hall scored three wins each over the course of the twelve-race, mid-day matinee.
Case and Campbell begrudgingly shared the glory in one of the most exciting dashes of the day when Campbell’s Fade To Glory (1:58.2-$7.40) overcame a third-over journey to dead heat with Case’s Society Jill (1:58.1-$12.60), who had benefited from a second-over trip of her own. The winning pair just barely eclipsed Pembroke Junebug (Heath Campbell) who finished third by a nose in a jam-packed photo finish, and Perfect Bloom (Kevin Switzer, Jr) and Lilys Penelope (Steven Wilson) who placed fourth and fifth respectively, just a mere half-length behind the winners.

Case’s other winners were Mornin Captain (1:57.1-$11.60), who found clear sailing to nab his third win-in-a-row and Call Me Maverick (1:56-$3.60) who dropped and popped for trainer Alison Hynes to secure the 33rd win of his career.
Campbell’s additional conquests came with Benny Is A Jet (1:57.3-$6.80), who soared gate-to-wire while making his first state-of-Maine start for new trainer Chris Lefebvre, and Rest Assured (1:58-$10.60), who provided good cheer to his connections as he mounted his second consecutive score for trainer Michael Stevenson who continues his recovery from injuries suffered during a raceway accident at First Tracks Cumberland earlier in the season.
Aaron Hall’s triple consisted of a pair of gate-to-wire wins with JK Lucky Charms (1:57-$5.40) and Commondiscourtesy (1:57.2-$17.80). This efforts followed a game first-over sprint to the wire with Jax Spratt (1:58.3-$4.80) as Hall got his grand slam started earlier in the program.
Bangor Raceway swings into action on Saturday and Sunday mornings with an early 11:00 a.m. post time and on Wednesday afternoons starting at 3:00 p.m. This three-day-a-week schedule remains in place through October 30 with the fall meet concluding on Wednesday (November 6).
