Grove City, OH – The fourth leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 3-year-old harness racing filly trotters saw a pair of earlier winners victorious for a second time in the series while another sophomore earned her first win at MGM Northfield Park Wednesday evening.
The repeat winners were led by Cash N Chips who turned in the fastest time with a wire-to-wire win in 1:55.3 for Hunter Myers and trainer Steven Bush. The Cash Hall filly out of Sugar N Chips scored by 2 Ā¼ lengths with a final quarter in :29.2.
CASH N CHIPS REPLAY
Chip It In picked up her second win in the series with Ronnie Wrenn Jr for Chris Beaver in 1:57.1.
Chip It In was first up from 4th to win by a half-length. The filly is by Break The Bank K out of Chippiesbrownsugar.
CHIP IT IN REPLAY
Winning for the first time in the BSS was Rose Run Whitney.
The daughter of Uncle Peter out of Stonebridge Dancer, scored for Greg Grismore and trainer Ron Burke in 1:56.2 with the final quarter in :28.4.
Rose Run Whitney got away fifth going three wide at the three-quarter to score by 4 Ā¼ lengths at the wire.
