(WOODSTOCK, VA —10/26/2025) —- Frank Chick’s Caviart Daisy thundered past front stepping Caviart Amore Mio coming out of turn two, passed the half four lengths the  best in :55 2/5 and cruised the rest of the way to a Virginia Breeder’s harness racing victory in the $91,025 2-Year-Old Filly Pace finale — in record time for that division.

The Sweet Lou filly was sent off as the 1-9 favorite and was fresh off a pair of impressive elimination leg wins the past two weeks with Tony Morgan in the bike. Morgan was back aboard Saturday and after taking control before the half, crossed five lengths ahead of second place finisher Caviart Santa Fe. The Jamie Sullivan trainee, who entered action with a bankroll of $169,200 — from five wins — collected her sixth in a finishing time of 1:53 3/3, a new track record in the freshman filly pacing division.

Julie Collins’ Caviart Santa Fe took second and Hagerman Racing’s More Than Better finished third.

Ramona Gillespie’s Caviart Trenton wired the field in the $93,275 2-Year-Old Colt Pace and completed a three-race sweep in his Breeder’s competition. The Captain Crunch gelding dominated his two eliminations in 1:57.0 and 1:56 2/5, then powered home Saturday to a 1:54 3/5 effort with Tim Deaton aboard for trainer Janet Davis. The winner triggered panels of :27 4/5, :56 3/5 and 1:25 3/5 before holding off a pesky Caviart Cadet who finished 1 1/4 lengths off the pace as runner-up. Caviart Trenton is now 6-for-10 with a bankroll of $67,967.

Second place finisher Caviart Cadet is co-owned by trainer Tony Alagna & the Caviart Farms while third place finisher Michelle’s Kyle is owned by Scott Woogen and trained by Jared Moyer.

Ronald Rust’s Bobbie Mac came outside from third at the three-quarter mark, moved past Caviart Gemma at the top of the stretch into second, then surged by Cherry’s Girl in the stretch to capture the $96,100 2-Year-Old Filly Trot in 1:58 3/5. Trainer Logan Eversole piloted the daughter of In The Range to her first victory in the Breeder’s Series after back-to-back seconds in the elimination rounds. The winner crossed one half length over Ebersole’s other entrant, Captain Corey filly Cherry’s Girl. Stuart Chambers Racing, Bcjm Inc. & Divine Horse Racing’s Wolfpack One finished third.

K R Breeding LLC & Robert Rudolph’s Caviart War Room took the $94,425 2-Year-Old Colt Final in 2:03.0 after breaking in the first turn and trotting near last until the top of the stretch. The Tactical Landing gelding was sixth at the top of the stretch but driver Corey Callahan deftly guided his trotter past all five front steppers and crossed 1 3/4 lengths the best. The Domenico Cecere trainee broke in his first elimination and finished a distant fourth but dominated by 7 3/4 lengths in his second try. Tremaine Harding’s Harding Boy finished second and Arlene Cameron & Nanticoke Racing’s Convicted Criminal took third.

Shenandoah Downs closed out its tenth season of pari-mutuel harness racing in Woodstock with Breeder’s Championship weekend. The 2026 spring meet will start on April 11 pending Virginia Racing Commission approval.
