Yonkers schedule changes; rich finals Monday

Yonkers Raceway would like to alert participants and industry members about alterations to the harness racing schedule starting soon.

Next week, Yonkers will conduct live racing six days, Monday through Saturday. Saturday’s (April 30) card will be drawn on Monday (April 25) along with Friday’s (April 29) program, and the box closes at 3 p.m.

After that, starting on the week on Monday, May 2, Yonkers will no longer have live racing on Wednesdays and will instead race on a Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday slate. Post time will remain at 6:55 p.m.

Final changes/Morning Lines/Other Details for Monday’s series finals

On Monday, April 25, Yonkers will roll out the red carpet for a 12-race program that includes the $549,000 MGM Borgata Pacing Series and $381,000 Blue Chip Matchmaker Series finals.

In addition to the finals, there is also a $100,000 MGM Borgata Pacing Series consolation event (race six), a $75,000 Blue Chip Matchmaker Series consolation (race five), and another $50,000 race for horses that were eligible to the MGM Borgata Pacing Series (race four).

On the wagering front, there is also the usual Monday night $10,000 guaranteed Pick 5 pool, which will encompass races five through nine.

Also, as a reminder, the Empire Terrace Dining Room will be open Monday night.

The price point will be $80 per person, plus tax and gratuity for the food. There will also be an open bar available for $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity. For reservations, please call 914-457-2531 on Saturday. For more information on Sunday or Monday, please reach out to the race office.
