Driver Chris Page extended his lead as Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway’s leading reinsman with seven trips to the harness racing winner’s circle on Friday (Nov. 14).

Odds On Mad Hatter

Page won the first race of the day with the trotter Shoot Some Hoop (1:56.3) and the last race of the evening with Stars Over Sydney (1:53.2).

The Delaware, Ohio resident scored three straight wins in the middle of the card in races #6-8 with gate-to-wire efforts from Bestthingineverhad (1:55.3) and Flip My Chip (1:50.4) and a come from behind effort with Bravo Hill (1:55.3).

Page also picked up victories with another pair of pacers in Southbeach Hanover (1:51.3) and Hecandancencruise (1:53).

He now has a 84-76 edge in the drivers’ standings over Jeremy Smith.

One race that Page did not win was the night’s featured event, the $18,000 condition claiming pace, where Luke Hanners gave Odds On Mad Hatter a well rated effort to secure his fourth straight win.

ODDS ON MAD HATTER REPLAY

Going off at 1/5, the sophomore son of Lather Up led the field of ten from the word go and established the fractions of :28, :56.1 and 1:24.

The solid pace prevented any real challenges and the homebred easily held off a pocket sitting Twenty Five (Chris Page) by 2 ½ lengths in 1:51.4.

Greater Than Aces (Sam Widger) held off a closing Dragon Attack (Wyatt Farmer) to complete the trifecta.

Virgil Morgan, Jr. trains the winner for Odds On Racing.

Dayton Raceway wraps up their racing week on Saturday (Nov. 15) with a 14-race card scheduled for 4:00 PM.
