Clegg and Nisonger to receive Racing With The Stars Award

Grove City, Ohio – Betty Clegg and Jeff Nisonger will receive the Ohio Racing With The Stars award as the top trainer and driver on the Ohio county fair harness racing circuit in 2023 at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Annual Banquet Saturday, January 13.

Clegg led all Ohio trainers with 61 fair wins last summer.  In 2023 she had 92 winners overall with earnings of $934,953.

Nisonger won 90 Ohio fair races last year.  Overall, in 2023 he won 108 races and earned $842,790.

Clegg and Nisonger will be honored at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Annual Awards Banquet on January 13, 2024, at the Marriott Columbus OSU in Columbus, Ohio.  Tickets to the banquet are $30 each and can be purchased by calling the OHHA office at 614-221-3650.
