WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 16, 2021 — Continualou retook the lead from Lady Newton at the half mile and drew away from her late to capture Tuesday’s harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Lady Newton was riding a five-race winning streak, but driver Dave Palone and Continualou wanted no part of the pocket seat. The aggressive move paid off, as Continualou downed Lady Newton by 3 lengths in 1:51.3, with All Day Sunshine third.

Ron Burke trains Continualou, a 3-year-old daughter of Sweet Lou-Continual Velocity who lifted her career earnings to $349,854, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

CONTINUALOU REPLAY

Burke collected four wins and Aaron Merriman three on the 12-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Wednesday when the 12-race program features a $2,953.75 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 PM.
