Controversial Dead-Heat as “mini-feud” continues

Pompano Beach, FL, March 7, 2022 – The controversial “mini-feud” between harness racing Hall of Famers Wally Hennessey and David Miller continued as the guest judges, heretofore referred to as the ‘three blind mice,” declared the March 6th event a “dead-heat” after reviewing the photo finish.

“I thought I held him safe,” said Hennessey, after his mini hit the wire in 1:53.2 for the 1/32 mile event. “I sent up an objection to the judges stand but they had already fled the scene!”

Miller retorted, “I really couldn’t tell…and that’s what the judges are for and that’s why they have a photo finish camera. I thought maybe I got there…but it was close, at least in the judges eyes.

“I thought the guest judges did a great job…and that’s all am going to say on the subject.”

Of course, the mini-race was to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Tomorrow’s Rainbow.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation provides a miracle wish to a child less fortunate due to health issues every 14 hours and continue to do outstanding work in that arena.

Tomorrow’s Rainbow provides support to children three year-old through high school who have suffered trauma through death or injury to a loved one.

The catalyst for these donations is the Florida Amateur Driving Club, what has donated over $240,000 to worthy charitable causes since their inception because of the generosity of their membership donating 100% of their driving income in FADC races to the cause.

The next FADC event is to take place on March 15 and 16 as eight of the world’s greatest drivers congregate at Pompano Park for a multi-race event benefiting yet more worthy causes. That event has drawn Wally Hennessey, David Miller, Kevin Wallis and Peter Wrenn from the home team and Yannick Gingras, James MacDonald, Dexter Dunn and Andrew McCarthy on the visitor’s team.
