Easy victory for Crisp Mane

WASHINGTON, PA — Crisp Mane powered to the lead near the quarter and rolled to an easy victory in Wednesday’s harness racing feature at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

The 2-5 favorite, Crisp Mane had been competing successfully in Open Handicap events at MGM Northfield, and the class relief was evident.

The 5-year-old daughter of Sportswriter-Designated Leader jogged for Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. in 1:52.1, 3-1/4 lengths better than All Day Sunshine, with Something Reel third.

Ron Burke trains Crisp Mane, who lifted her lifetime bankroll to $257,860, for Sylvia Burke.
