Devil Child way too good

Devil Child led from pillar to post, drawing off by more than 15 lengths in the lane to prevail as the 1-9 favorite for driver Tim Tetrick in the $120,000 American National for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Saturday night, Nov. 7 at Balmoral Park.
 
Clocked in 1:50.3—the second fastest mile ever in the history of this stake—the daughter of American Ideal won for the seventh time this season in 21 starts for trainer Chris Oaks and owners Susan Oakes of Wilkes-Barre PA and the Crawford Farms of Syracuse, NY.
 
Bred by Maryland’s Winbak Farm, Devil Child upped her career earnings to $354,851.  She was virtually unchallenged throughout the mile, with her nearest rival, Triple V Hanover (David Miller) finishing second, while Daut Full (Scott Zeron) was further back in third.
