WASHINGTON, PA, May 17, 2023 —Trailing by 9 lengths and with excess cover in front of him, Don’t Take My Keys (Uncle Peter-Designated Driver) took matters into his own hands, circling the harness racing field three wide to capture Wednesday’s feature at The Meadows, a $12,100 Conditioned Trot.
Winning driver Hunter Myers knew he might never get a chance fourth over to unleash Don’t Take My Keys, so he opted to show racetrack then and there to the 5-year-old gelding. Don’t Take My Keys responded with a powerful brush that carried him to victory in 1:55.2, 2 lengths better than The Funk, with Stickler Hanover third.
