Dover In Motion (Dover Dan, John De Long) won the $25,000 Open Handicap harness racing trot in a romp at Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway on Saturday (Dec. 16).
Rose Run Valor (Kayne Kauffman) took the early lead, alongside Adamsville Road (Sam Widger). Wildfire Seelster (Dan Noble) was racing in third as they approached the opening quarter in :27.3.
Rose Run Valor was holding on to the lead, with Adamsville Road following closely in the pocket spot in second. Wildfire Seelster was first-over, looking to challenge Adamsville Road for second. They passed the half mile in :56.3.
Starting down the backstretch, Rose Run Valor was on top by a length. Wildfire Seelster was at his wheel in second. As they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:25, Dover In Motion rushed from the outside to challenge Rose Run Valor for the lead. As they came down the stretch, Dover In Motion picked up speed and broke away from the rest.
Dover In Motion finished in 1:52.1, six lengths ahead of Adamsville Road. Wildfire Seelster followed in third.
