Drama Act (Well Said) went down the road for driver George Brennan in wiring the field to capture the $36,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace Friday (Oct. 6) at Yonkers Raceway.
Starting from post four, Brennan sent the 5-1 Drama Act right to the front at the start of the 8th race feature. Drama Act cut fractions of :26.4, :55.4 and 1:23, holding the field at bay.
As they came down the stretch, Drama Act kept her lead intact, winning with ease by two and one-half lengths in 1:51.1. Race favorite Coachellabound N (Brent Holland) was second with Karma Seelster (Jordan Sratton) third.
It was the 11th win on the year for Drama Act and her 40th career victory. She is trained by Ron Burke for owners The OK Corral, who also bred the mare. She paid $13.00 to win.
