Plainville, MA –— Harness racing driver Drew Campbell had a banner day at work Sunday (Nov. 14) at Plainridge Park after he won four of the seven races carded for the afternoon.
He visited the winnerās enclosure with Cash Crazy Express (1:57.1, $4.60) and Rose Run Slider (1:56.4, $5.00) who are both trained by Mark Harris and owned by Gayle Harris, along with Paradise Skies (1:57, $40.20) and Easy Three (1:54.4, $10.60).
Campbell had a total of six drives on Sunday and besides the four wins, he also finished second one time giving him a UDR of .759 for the day.
Campbell currently sits sixth in the Plainridge driver colony with 60 wins for the meet and purse earnings that now total $873,157. For his career, Campbell has 5,489 wins with $17,516,184 in lifetime earnings.
The one race that Campbell did not win on Sunday was the $12,500 featured race for fillies and mares where Hilaria (Mike Stevenson) turned a front-running strategy into a 1-3/4 length, 1:54.4 victory. It was the fifth win of the year for Hilaria ($5.20) and owner/trainer Ralph Andersen.
