Driver elbowing horse in race finally resolved

The incident took place back on November 3, 2022, when driver Joe Poliseno actually elbowed another horse in the head (did it twice) in a race at Harrah’s Philadelphia. Poliseno has now dropped his appeal and has to pay a $250 fine.

Other recent positive tests were for Triamcinolone Acetonide and Methocarbamol. There were also a number of older positive and other infraction events that have recently been settled.

In Canada there were two positive tests, one for TCO2 and one for a Class 4 drug yet the fine was a steep $3,000 CAN along with numerous driver-trainer violations.
