HARRINGTON, DE – Delaware-sired 2-year-old harness racing trotters completed their second leg in five $20,000 divisions Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.

The top eight point earners will return to compete in the $100,000 final on October 6.

Three divisions for males went post ward, with Wolfpack Russ ($3, Corey Callahan) winning the 1st division for trainer Nick Callahan and owners Stuart Chambers, Bcjm Stables, Divine Horse Racing and Cinebrew Enterprises.

The Glidemaster gelding and Nick Callahan-trainee completed a sweep of his eliminations with a 2:03.4 victory over Canoe Trip and Tua.

WOLFPACK RUSS REPLAY

The second split saw some drama as Lg’s Reed O Wen’s 3-race win streak was snapped after making an early break in stride behind the gate while Navy Blue ($4, Art Stafford Jr.) marched to a wire-to-wire win in 2:03. Snow Burst was second while Lg’s Reed O Wen recovered from the early miscue and finished third.

A son of Anders Bluestone, Navy Blue notched his first career win for owner/trainer Stafford Jr. and co-owner Wyatt Starkey.

NAVY BLUE REPLAY

Legacy Racing of Delaware’s Spooky Punk ($6.20, Victor Kirby) cruised to an easy win in the final division for colts and geldings over Czar Blue and Blue Bandit. The He’s Spooky gelding recorded his first career win for trainer Wayne Givens.

SPOOKY PUNK REPLAY

Rod Allen’s Our Last Penny ($3.80, Allen) won the first of two filly divisions in 2:06. The CR Commando filly surged to the lead near the three-quarters and drew away from Xactly What I Want and Babe Ruthie for her maiden win for owner/trainer/driver Allen.

OUR LAST PENNY REPLAY

Bobby Myers’ Miss Timber Wolf ($20, Billy Long) was a 2:05.1 winner in the remaining split for trainer Amber Tucker. She led every call and was an open length winner over Giant Arbitration and Just Pump It. The Anders Bluestone filly notched her maiden win.

MISS TIMBER WOLF REPLAY

Art Stafford Jr., Bret Brittingham and Pat Berry each had a driving double.
