Led to the half by Rocky Bomber and Jack Parker, Jr., Zulu (CR Commando-CR Penny Lane) swept by up the backside and prevailed in a new lifetime mark of 2:02.1 for breeder,trainer,and driver Rod Allen of Ocala, FL. The show colt was Riddle Me This.
In division two, it was Chauffeur (Dusty Winner-Koala Kosmos) from start to finish in 2:02.4.The Harrington final winner now has earnings over $97K in 8 starts. Bred and owned by Jane Dunavant of Kenbridge, VA and trained by Carlo Poliseno, he was driven by Art Stafford, Jr. His stablemate Air Time got up for the place and brief challenger Touch Of White hung on for the show.
The filly divisions were led off by Playoff Season (CR Commando-Postseason) breaking her maiden in 2:04 for driver Vic Kirby and trainer Syl King,Jr. She is owned by Steve Mullen of New Holland, PA and bred by Winbak Farm. Second was Katies Blu Diamond and third was Wolfcat.
The second filly division was won by 21-1 upset, Emmy’s Mayflower(Anders Bluestone-Mocha) in a lifetime record of 2:00.2 over previously undefeated Orabelle. Emmy’s Mayflower is owned by breeder and trainer, Eric Foster of Ridgely, MD and driven by his nephew, Russell Foster. Show filly was Alert.
