Harness Racing This Week: The 2024 Grand Circuit season has come to a close. The 2025 harness racing schedule will be released in February.

Grand Circuit Standings: In 2024, the Grand Circuit leaders in three categories (driver, trainer and owner) were once again tracked on a points system (20-10-5 for the top three finishers in divisions/finals and 10-5-2 for the top three finishers in eliminations/legs). Winbak Farm is the sponsor for the 2024 Grand Circuit awards.

Here are the final leaders (through the races on 11-30-24):

Drivers: 1. Dexter Dunn – 1,909; 2. Yannick Gingras – 997.5; 3. David Miller – 885; 4. Todd McCarthy – 782; 5. Scott Zeron – 773.

Trainers: 1. Ron Burke – 1,357; 2. Ake Svanstedt – 1,016; 3. Marcus Melander – 665; 4. Nancy Takter – 664; 5. Noel Daley – 469.

Owners: 1. Burke Racing Stable – 318.6; 2. Weaver Bruscemi – 259.4; 3. Determination – 239; 4. Ake Svanstedt Inc. – 227.2; 5. Caviart Farms – 168.8.
