Easter Jack (Dover Dan) and Brett Miller extended their harness racing win streak to five, including three straight over Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway oval, with their 1:54.1 victory in the $28,000 Open Trot in Wednesday (Oct. 22) action.

Easter Jack

Iwon’t Backdown As (Luke Hanners) was the first off the gates wings and led the field past the opening quarter in :27.2 and the half in a pedestrian :57.2.

Easter Jack was eased off the gate and was last in the field of five through the opening half and picked up the cover of the bettor’s choice, Miko Man (Jeremy Smith), at the three-quarters in 1:25.4.

Easter Jack used a :28.1 final quarter to pull clear of Niko Man by three parts of a length. A closing Fiftyfour K (Chris Page) was third by 4 ¼ lengths.

EASTER JACK REPLAY

The four-year-old gelded son of Dover Dan is trained by co-owner Kyle Husted, who shares ownership with John Schwartz.

In a $17,000 conditioned trot, E Pass (Chris Page) went gate-to-wire to record a neck victory over the fast closing and favorite Grand Revival (Jeremy Smith) in 1:55.3.

E Pass was able to control the fractions and was unpressured through the opening quarters of :27.3 and :57.

Dudley (Sam Widger) applied moderate pressure to E Pass, who opened a two-length lead at the three-quarters in 1:25.2.

E Pass looked to be home free until Grand Revival and Val Jail Bondsman (Brett Miller) made one final push and both got within a half-length of E Pass at the wire.

Grand Revival was second and Val Jail Bondsman was third in a photo.

The four-year-old gelded son of Uncle Peter recorded his ninth win of the season for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi.

Page recorded a grand slam with four driving wins on the night.

Dayton Raceway returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 23) with a 14-race card starting at 4:00 PM.
