HARRINGTON, DE– P T Stable’s Effingham (Sunshine Beach) and harness racing driver Ross Wolfenden sprung a 58-to-1 upset in the $22,500 Free-for-All Pace Monday (May 27) at Harrington Raceway.
The 5-year-old gelding, who was the longest shot on the board, split horses in deep stretch and finished with a flourish to achieve his 7th win of the year. Effingham was last at the half-mile and 7th at the three-quarters before his stretch surge.
Pacesetter On The Cards N was second with Mack third. Trained by Crissy Crissman-Bier, it was Effingham’s 5th win already at the current meet, with most wins coming at the $45,000 claiming level previously. Effingham paid $119.40 to win.
Trainer Jason Johnson had a big night with 3 training wins, with two coming for owners Mulligan and Calcutta Stables.

Driver Tony Morgan had 4 wins on the card, while Allan Davis had a driving triple.
