Eight points separate top three in Top 10 poll

The top three horses in the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll remained unchanged in the Week 7 edition of the rankings released Wednesday, but the gap between the trio was reduced to a mere eight points.

Louprint continued to hold the No. 1 spot, as he has all season, but by only two points over Twin B Joe Fresh. Hambletonian elimination winner Emoticon Legacy remained third.

Super Chapter, another Hambletonian elim winner, moved from fifth to fourth in a swap of places with Tompkins-Geers Stakes winner Miki And Minnie. Those two horses were separated by four points.

Adios champion Prince Hal Hanover was the only newcomer to the Top 10, finishing tied for ninth with Madden Oaks.

Go Dog Go dropped out of the Top 10.

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will continue weekly on Wednesdays through the Grand Circuit season, does not determine year-end awards. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year, and Horse of the Year.

Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
