Plainville, MA — Enhance Yourcalm N made a third consecutive jump in class and this week to the top level, $25,000 Winners-Over Handicap featured harness racing trot. But despite the tougher company, the results remained the same as Enhance Yourcalm N won again on Thursday (Sept. 28) to remain undefeated at Plainridge Park.
Kevin Switzer Jr. got away fourth with Enhance Yourcalm N while the front-running Echo De Meautis Fr (Nick Graffam) towed the field to the half in :57.1. Enhance Yourcalm N was out and rolling there and flushed Big Al M (Mitchell Cushing), who provided cover to the seven-eighths pole where Enhance Yourcalm N tipped around him before going head to head with Echo De Meautis Fr. Echo De Meautis Fr looked to have the edge heading home but Enhance Yourcalm N incrementally drew nearer with every stride and got up in the shadow of the wire to win by a head in 1:53.4.
ENHANCE YOURCALM N REPLAY
It was the seventh win of the year for Enhance Yourcalm N ($5.40) who is owned by his trainer Mark Eaton along with Robert Griffin.
Earlier in the $17,500 conditioned trot, Sonny’s Moni (Bruce Ranger) got back to his winning ways after tasting defeat for the first time in 2023 last week. Ranger gave Sonny’s Moni a second-over trip behind Dewey Dog (Jim Hardy) in pursuit of the leading Twoscoopsforjack (Kevin Switzer Jr.). Sonny’s Moni moved into second at the top of the stretch before pulling away to a 2-¼ length win in 1:55.2.
It was the eighth win in only nine starts this year for Sonny’s Moni ($2.40) and owner Moni Maker Stable. Domenico Cecere trains the winner.
SONNY’S MONI REPLAY
Drivers Brett Beckwith, Mitchell Cushing, Jim Hardy and Jay Randall all had two wins on Thursday while 11 different trainers each won one race apiece.
