Feeling Sweet wired the field in the $30,000 Mares Winners Over/ Open Handicap Pace at Dover Downs on Wednesday night.
Harness racing driver Mike Cole was on a mission and sent Feeling Sweet down the road. Tae secured the pocket pocket position. Scuola Hanover left for early race position and settled in fourth as the field approached the quarter.
Feeling Sweet was feeling strong as she set fractions of :26, :54.4 (:28.4) and 1:22.3 (:27.4).
The 3/5 betting favorite, Scuola Hanover raced 1st over past the 5/8 marker and challenged Feeling Sweet for the lead at the three-quarter pole.
In the stretch Feeling Sweet pulled away as Scuola Hanover tired late. Tae remained in the pocket but could not gain on the leader. Feeling Sweet won in 1:51.1 by three quarters of a length and paid $8.80 to win.

Tae finished 2nd for trainer Brenda Teague. Pat Berry drove. Moments of Joy saved ground and finished 3rd for trainer Bryan Truitt. Victor Kirby drove.

Sprocket, who equaled a Dover Downs track record for aged pacers in 1:48.2 last week, headlines the 12th race $27,500 Blue Hen/ Open Handicap Pace Thursday.Ā There will be several exotic wagering carryovers for tomorrow nightās races. The Pick 3 ($1,490) Pick 4 ($2,514) Pick 5 ($970) and the Pentafecta (last race) ($2,373).
