Fifth straight score for Captaincountrystar

HARRINGTON, DE – Tlb Racing’s Captaincountrystar (Captaintreacherous) and harness racing driver Pat Berry scored his fifth straight win Monday (June 24) at Harrington Raceway in 1:50.4 in the featured $22,500 Free-for-All Pace.

Tlb Racing’s Captaincountrystar was used hard to make the lead from post 7 but eventually got there in :27 seconds. He sped to the half-mile in :54.3 and three-quarters in 1:22.4 before a :28 second last quarter held off a late closing charge from Layton Hanover, who finished second, while Sweet Angel Boy was third.

CAPTAINCOUNTRY STAR REPLAY

The winning time equaled a lifetime best for the 4-year-old gelding, who was ascending in class from winners-over ranks. He paid $9.20 to win.
